Future Fair is pleased to announce its Curatorial Committee for 2026, welcoming Elisa Carollo, Art Writer, Art Advisor & Curator; Patton Hindle, Executive Director, Artadia; and Lisa Young & Steven Abraham, Collectors, Founders of The Here & There Collective. The committee will help guide the fair in its ongoing commitment to be a forward-thinking exhibition championing vision, access, and growth within the art industry.
Building on Future Fair’s collaborative and community-focused model, this year’s committee brings together leaders who are shaping the field through advocacy, curation, and community building across institutions, nonprofits, and galleries. The Curatorial Committee plays a vital role in broadening and evolving Future Fair’s scope, ensuring the fair highlights the most relevant art of today from new and underrecognized voices.
As Future Fair enters its sixth edition, we embrace a new chapter marked by purposeful growth, maintaining our curated, intimate scale while championing galleries at every stage. Our third annual curatorial committee brings together members who offer different roles and perspectives in our industry, yet they are united by a deep understanding of the unique needs of both artists and galleries. Their insights play an essential role in shaping and enriching the fair to cast a wide net – nominating galleries, reviewing presentations and shaping a program that propels artists and dealers forward.” Rachel Mijares Fick & Rebeca Laliberte, Future Fair Founders
About the Curators
Elisa Carollo is an art advisor, curator, writer, and USPAP-compliant appraiser with a focus on contemporary and ultra-contemporary art. After nearly a decade navigating both the market and institutional sides of the industry, she’s recently shifted toward the primary market, curatorial work, and critical writing. She is the lead arts reporter for Observer in New York and a regular contributor to Il Giornale dell’Arte (Art Newspaper Italy). As a curator, Carollo was on the curatorial teams for the inaugural Malta Biennale in 2024 and the Italian Pavilion at the 14th Gwangju Biennale, among the most recent institutional projects. She collaborates with galleries and art foundations across borders, working as a connector to spotlight strong emerging talent and introduce artists to new audiences globally.
Patton Hindle is a creative strategist, cultural worker, and systems change-maker. She is the Executive Director of Artadia, a nonprofit grantmaker that centers artists in their vital role in society through providing funding and professional development in 7 US cities. Prior to Artadia, Patton was the Head of Forward Funds, Kickstarter’s first social impact program that she built and ran. She also served as the Head of Arts at Kickstarter for 5 years, working closely with artists, collectives, arts organizations, and cultural institutions around the world to help them realize creative and ambitious ideas; she still maintains her deep engagement with these communities. Patton was the co-founder of Chinatown gallery yours mine & ours and is a co-author of the second edition of How to Start and Run a Commercial Art Gallery. She serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of The Laundromat Project and the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Socrates Sculpture Park.
Lisa Young & Steven Abraham are Brooklyn-based contemporary art collectors focused on emerging to mid-career artists, particularly those from the Asian diaspora. In 2021, they co-founded The Here and There Collective (THAT Co.), a non-profit organization that provides a digital archive, grants, residencies, and community-building opportunities for Asian-diasporic artists. Their collection has been featured in publications including Frieze and Apollo Magazine, recognizing their commitment to supporting artists of color and an emphasis on stewardship as a collecting practice.
