McConnell’s interactive scenes of transfigurative personages integrate speculative situations with a visceral garagepunk animism, exposing psychological introspections that reflect the human condition. Irreverent improvisations through an arbitrary alienation of modern life, mutate in a rapid developing Northwest environment.
PEDRO VÉLEZ
Pedro Vélez has been an outspoken voice against the colonization of Puerto Rico. His current work portrays the hypocrisy of the appeal of the island as a tax haven and the total abandonment of the people during and after Hurricane Maria as well as commentary on a variety of issues, such as race, politics, and aesthetic concerns. His multidisciplinary approach offers art criticism and social criticism in his artworks and in his active internet presence.
